General Settings
The general device settings can be controlled through the settings screen, accessed via the main menu. This screen also displays the tool serial number and current firmware version.
Screen Brightness
Controls the screen backlight brightness (higher settings reducing battery life).
Screen Timeout
Controls the time period of no user activity before the screen enters a 5% brightness mode to assist in increasing battery life.
Inactive Power Off
Controls the time period of no user activity before the tool turns off. This feature is not active when under USB control.
Boot Term Behaviour
Controls how the tool may enable the internal terminator when switched on. This setting has three options:
- Prompt - If the internal terminator was previously enabled, display a dialog at boot suggesting to perform a bus health scan to check for damaging faults before enabling the terminator and risking damage to the tool. The dialog provides the option to ignore the suggestions or to perform the scan where on confirmation of no faults, the terminator will automatically be enabled.
- Always - Always disable the terminator at boot. This is the safest option to prevent damage if faults may be present on the bus.
- Ignore - Always set the terminator at boot to the last known state without prompting or performing checks. This is the least safe option.
