Is it right for you?

The CAN Bus Debugger is for engineers and technicians who develop, diagnose and test CAN networks. It works standalone without a laptop, supports CAN 2.0A/B, and performs physical layer diagnostics including termination resistance checks, voltage measurements, and wiring fault detection. Standalone mode supports CAN 2.0A/B only. CAN FD currently requires a PC connection via USB.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it support CAN FD in standalone mode?

Not currently. CAN FD is only supported in USB device mode, when connected to a PC. Standalone CAN FD support is planned for a future firmware update. In handheld mode the device supports CAN 2.0A/B.

How does it compare to other CAN bus analysers?

Most CAN bus analysers are PC-only and require a connected computer and software to do anything useful. The CAN Bus Debugger works as a standalone handheld instrument with its own display, battery, and onboard storage, so no laptop is needed. It also includes physical layer diagnostics not typically found on PC-based tools, letting you check bus termination resistance, measure bus voltages, and detect wiring faults directly on the device.

Does the display support touch input?

No. The display is a 3.5 inch TFT LCD with no touch capability. Navigation uses 4 physical buttons on the device.

Is the firmware open source?

Not currently.
